THE STORY? Once Upon A FaceTime...

Rachel, just two cats away from being a - you know - receives an unexpected, unorthodox offer to give up the glamour of her big city cubicle to go feed pigs and scoop poop at a faltering farm sanctuary in rural Florida.

Indubitably she accepts, and upon her arrival encounters one kooky creature after another. And then there are the animals. Learning the sanctuary is running on financial fumes and expired certifications, Rachel channels her city savvy and shows what a real cat lady can do. Then she goes back to scooping poop.

And so begins a new life amidst a cast of characters that almost seems made up.

A MESSAGE FROM FELICIA…

I developed the sitcom Friends Not Food to be a joy-sparking, farcical comedy that subtly nudges viewers towards a more compassionate world.

In a time when veganism is often just the punchline of a joke, I decided to lean in and put those jokes to work for us. Instead of bombarding folks with the grim reality of factory farming—where over 10 billion animals suffer miserably each year in the U.S. for our consumption—and Animal Ag’s generous contribution to climate devastation, I’m inviting viewers into a world of endearingly unconventional cast members. These characters will make them laugh, love, and learn just a bit about the sentience, intelligence, and humor of these uproarious rescued residents.

This, in turn, will encourage veganism, drastically reduce animal agriculture, conserve precious resources for humans, directly decelerate climate change and, ultimately, help save the world.
